James S. Ellison

James S. Ellison is an associate with Cooley Manion Jones LLP. His civil litigation practice focuses on a wide range of complex business and commercial disputes. Prior to joining CMJ, he worked in the financial services industry as a member of the assurance practice of a Big Four public accounting firm.

Mr. Ellison graduated cum laude from Suffolk University Law School in 2009. While at Suffolk Law, he was a member of the Moot Court Honor Board and an editor of the Journal of Trial and Appellate Advocacy. In addition, he was a member of the Tax Moot Court Team, which won the Best Brief Award at the 2009 National Competition. Mr. Ellison received both his Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from the University of Connecticut in 2003.

Mr. Ellison is currently admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of Massachusetts. In addition, he is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Massachusetts.

Originally from Connecticut, Mr. Ellison currently resides in Andover with his wife and son.
