Mary Katherine Geraghty

Mary Kate Geraghty is an associate with Cooley Manion Jones LLP, where her practice focuses on complex business and commercial litigation. Prior to joining CMJ in 2008, Ms. Geraghty was an associate at a litigation firm in Boston, representing individuals and businesses in a wide variety of civil matters. In 2007, she and two colleagues won a $3.35 million jury verdict for a child who was injured on an escalator in China. The verdict was reported as number ten on Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly's Largest Verdicts of 2007.

Ms. Geraghty received a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame in 1996 and a J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law in 2002. At Wake Forest, Ms. Geraghty was a member of the National Moot Court Team, received the Moot Court Board Award and was elected into the Order of Barristers.

After law school, Ms. Geraghty clerked for the Honorable Rosemarie Annunziata of the Virginia Court of Appeals (2002-2003 term).

Ms. Geraghty is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and Maryland. She is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, the Boston Bar Association, the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys and the Maryland State Bar Association.

Originally from Connecticut, Ms. Geraghty now resides in West Roxbury with her husband.
